Wondering...

I like to play video games. I'm addicted, really. Playstation, Xbox, PC give me a good game and I'm entertained for days. I got word of downloading games for PC online and also learned of the whole piracy thing and how the gov is trying to make it illegal. I've thought about this a lot the past weeks and decided to write about it. Truthfully I love the idea of getting things for free (who doesn't??) but I also see the problem. It is stealing,but then there is the whole thing that, say I bought a game, installed it and loved it, then decided to share it with some friends by uploading the game online and giving it to them that way. It's my game so I can share it how I want to right? I payed for it, so when I share it with others, they aren't stealing, they are borrowing. So it's not really stealing unless I stole the game and then shared it online. Then whoever got it from me would be stealing it also. see what I mean? I can see how it would piss some people off, but I'm all for piracy. Free movies, music, books, games. Sounds great. My main thing is that I don't have any money to buy any of it with! So of course free sounds great to me. If I could get my son a free Christmas/birthday present, I'd do it. Not illegally though. I want to see my son grow up! So I'm totally against the gov on this one. What about you?
